Bhakarwadi is believed to have its origins in Gujarat but is now a well-known snack all thanks to one man. Raghunathrao, who started the popular shop Chitale Bandhu in Pune made bhakarwadi a popular snack across India. With a perfect mix of sweet, sour, and spice, bhakarwadi endeared itself to Indians as an excellent companion for the evening chai ritual. Graminway’s Twisted Bhakarwadi is made from a recipe developed lovingly over the years in Seoni Amma’s kitchens. We make it with whole wheat flour and gram flour to retain the health aspect. We then blend in sesame, chilli, dry mango powder and other spices to give it that comforting traditional flavor. Take care of your cholesterol or diabetes and eat these delicious swirls with complete freedom!
