The paediatric endotracheal tubes without cuff (code 5516.xx) consist of:
1) a transparent PVC tube with radio-opaque line and a secondary lumen within the wall of the tube. This secondary lumen is for tracheal injection (e.g. delivery of surfactant) or airway pressure monitoring. The secondary lumen does not reduce the main lumen of the endotracheal tube. The distal end of the tube is bevelled by 38°. They have a 17mm intubation depth mark at the distal end. There are half-centimetre markings from 3 to 13cm codes 5516.20 / 5516.25 / 5516.30 / 5516.35 and markings every centimetre from 9 to 21cm for codes 5516.40 and 5516.45.
2)a lateral port with PVC tubing and female Luer-lock hub for surfactant delivery.
3) a 15mm standard adaptor to connect the endotracheal tube to the ventilator.

Simple lumen Lifecath CVC

Lifecath is a silicone central venous catheter with subcutaneous cuff for long-term venous access. The subcutaneous tissues colonize the cuff which ensures a secure and efficient fixation of the catheter.The extra-vascular section of the catheter features a reinforced section with clamping site, clamp and a non-removable proximal hub. The tunnellisation of the catheter must be carried out before inserting the catheter in the vein.
Lifecath can be inserted either by venous cut-down (catheter only) or by percutaneous puncture (kit with peel-apart Desilet). The fixation wings are only used during the 2 or 3 first weeks after placement of the catheter to secure it against motion, thus ensuring a quicker colonization of the Dacron cuff by the subcutaneous tissues.
The tray catheter only (codes 2191.27, 2191.42, 2191.50 and 2191.66) contains:1 silicone catheter with Dacron cuff (maximum pressure 3.5 bar)1 tunnelling needle 1 fixation wing (not available in the tray code 2191.27)
