Grasping tissue:

It can be used to hold and grip various tissues during a procedure.


Holding equipment:

The clip can be used to secure other equipment like suction tubes, electrocautery wires, or arthroscope cables to the drapes.


Bone fracture management:

In some instances, it may be used to hold or reduce small bone fractures.

Retracting tissue:
Some towel clips, like the Mayo type, can be used as skin retractors to provide better exposure of the surgical field.

Fixing fractured ribs:
In some cases, they are used to hold fractured ribs during surgery.
