Uncoated paper fails the moment it meets moisture, oil, or grease — sachets tear at the seal, wrappers go limp, and food products lose shelf appeal before they leave the warehouse. Poly Coated Paper solves this by bonding a controlled LDPE layer (12µ–40µ) onto base paper (20–300 GSM), giving you a heat-sealable, moisture-resistant surface without losing paper's printability, foldability, and biodegradable edge. GT Pack Industries manufactures this across 11 distinct product lines — by base paper (Kraft, Poster, Chromo, Butter, Maplitho, Glassine), by coating structure (Single Side, Double Side, Multilayer), and by surface finish (Matte, Gloss) — so you're not forced into a one-size-fits-all sheet that half-solves your packaging problem.

Choosing poly coated paper isn't about picking "paper with plastic on it" — it's about matching the base stock and coating structure to what your product actually does to packaging over time. Butter and Glassine bases are built for grease migration (bakery, dairy, confectionery). Kraft and Poster bases carry higher basis weights for structural sachets and courier bags. Chromo base takes fine print detail for retail-facing wraps. Double Side Coated structures add a barrier on both faces where the product contacts packaging from two directions — think ice cream cone liners or frozen wraps — while Single Side Coated keeps cost down where only one face needs the seal. Multilayer Coated stacks additional LDPE passes for higher-barrier, longer shelf-life applications.

GT Pack Industries runs all 11 variants on the same integrated line — rotogravure printing, solvent lamination, extrusion coating, slitting, and pouch-making — so your order moves from base paper to finished, sealed pouch without changing vendors. That matters for lead time and for consistency batch to batch, which is where a lot of smaller job-work coaters fall short.
