An interferential therapy machine (also called IFT machine) is an advanced electrotherapy device used in physiotherapy that produces medium frequency electrical currents (2-4 KHz) to penetrate deep into body tissues. Unlike low-frequency TENS, IFT crosses two circuits at the treatment area creating a therapeutic "beat frequency" for effective pain relief.
