mobile foam unit, also known as a foam cart, foam trolley or foam trailer, is a specialized piece of equipment designed to deliver firefighting foam to a fire scene. These units are typically deployed to industrial sites, airports, and other areas with a high risk of fuel fires, where traditional water-based firefighting methods may be ineffective.
Mobile foam units come in a range of sizes and configurations, from small carts that can be pulled by a single firefighter to large trailers that require a tow vehicle. They are often equipped with foam concentrate tanks, pumps, and spray nozzles, allowing firefighters to quickly and effectively apply foam to a fire.

Mobile foam trolley is an essential piece of equipment used in fire-fighting situations. It is designed to provide a quick and efficient way of extinguishing flames, by pumping out a foam concentrate to smother the fire. Here are some guidelines on how to operate a mobile foam trolley:
1. Familiarise yourself with the trolley: Before you start to use the trolley, make sure you are familiar with all the parts and controls. Check that the foam tank is filled up to the required level and there are no leaks in the hose or nozzle.
2. Connect the hose to the trolley: Once you are sure that everything is in order, connect the foam hose to the outlet valve on the trolley. This should be a quick-release coupling that snaps into place.
3. Turn on the pump: Switch on the pump to start drawing foam concentrate from the tank. Listen for any unusual sounds that may indicate a problem with the pump.
4. Adjust the flow rate: Use the flow control knob to regulate the amount of foam being released. This will depend on the size and intensity of the fire, as well as the size of the area being covered.
5. Aim the nozzle correctly: Point the nozzle at the base of the flames and sweep it from side to side to create a blanket of foam. Move forward gradually as the flames are extinguished.
6. Monitor the foam level: Keep an eye on the level of foam concentrate in the tank, and refill it as necessary. Don't let the tank run dry as this could damage the pump.
7. Shut down the trolley: When you've finished, switch off the pump and disconnect the hose. Drain any remaining foam concentrate and rinse out the tank and hose with water.
Operating a mobile foam trolley requires a certain degree of skill and practice, but with these guidelines, you should be able to use it effectively and safely in most fire-fighting situations. Remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions and take precautions to prevent injury or damage to equipment.
