Duval lung holding forceps are surgical instruments used in thoracic surgery to gently grasp and manipulate delicate lung tissue during procedures like resection, biopsy, and lobectomy. Their triangular, fenestrated (windowed) jaws and often serrated tips provide a broad, atraumatic surface that distributes pressure evenly, minimizing tissue trauma. The forceps also feature a ring-handle design with a ratchet lock, allowing for a secure grip without continuous hand pressure and reducing surgeon fatigue.
