Duplex Steel is stainless steel which is also called duplex grades due to their two phases available in their metallurgical structure. This duplex steel is designed to offer excellent corrosion resistance and higher strength than other aesthetic stainless steel. They mainly provide resistance from chloride stress corrosion and chloride pitting corrosion. They have higher chromium and molybdenum content compare to other austenitic stainless steel.
